Welcome to Train For Life!

I opened Train For Life with the intention of having a place for every day people to come to for information on health and fitness, as well as support and motivation. I have a wide range of clients. From professional MMA fighters, to people over 60 trying to live a longer healthier life, I have trained them all. Strength and conditioning is something everyone needs to improve on. At Train For Life, clients get the most well-rounded programs available. We have all seen the guy at the gym that can bench press a Volkswagen. But have him run a mile on a treadmill and you would think he was having a heart attack. Or the women who only do cardio for fear of bulking up, who can not perform 1 correct push up. At Train For Life, I aim to help you achieve total fitness, not just one aspect of it. After a few workouts at Train For Life, even those who consider themselves very fit will find out that there is always room to improve in order to maximize their strength and conditioning. Many consider MMA the most pysically demanding sport in the world. I can tell you from experience that even my fighters who are at the top of their game constantly need adjustments in their routines in order to continue making progress. If the training methods do not change, neither will your progress or your body.

For 4 years, I was one of the top trainers at Hatfield Athletic Club. In May 2009, I decided to open Train For Life with the intention of having a serious facility for serious people. My goal is to educate the large population out there that think being fit is hitting it hard for 2 months before the summer. It's a lifetime commitment. I've seen people in their 20's throwing out their backs. Imagine what it will be like when they hit 40 or 50!? Now days people are about the quick fix. GETTING IN SHAPE IS NOT EASY!! If it was, everyone would have a 6-pack. If you believe everything you see on TV, then you are the person I want to talk to. Train For Life is a place to come to and learn the facts. I do not sugar coat anything. It's damn hard maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But having the right information can help make it easier.

Maintaining a high level of health and fitness goes beyond workouts. My wife Natalie graduated from Drexel University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. We spend loads of time discussing injury prevention. While training is good for you, if not done properly you could end up seriously injured. I incorporate rehabilitation exercises into all my clients routines. I call them "pre-hab" exercises. Most people stretch and use foam rolling only after they have new pain. Range of motion exercises and foam rolling not only treat, but if done regularly can help prevent injuries. These are essential for anyone who wants to lead a healthy, pain free life.
